Bulgogi Beef Bowls
A high protein, flavor-packed meal prep recipe to keep your gains at a max.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup Jasmine Rice
- 4 tbsp Brown Sugar
- ⅓ cup Soy Sauce
- ⅓ cup Sesame Oil
- 2 tbsp Garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp Ginger (minced)
- 2 ct Soft-boiled Egg
Directions
- Start the rice. This is usually the longest part, so set up your rice cooker or get a pot of water boiling stat so you aren't waiting!
- Make the sauce. Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar and whisk. Set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes. The meat will still be a little pink. Add the diced bell pepper, add the sauce, and simmer for another 5 mins.
- While the meat is cooking, get a pot of water boiling with just enough water to cover the surface of an egg. Once boiling, add the eggs and set a timer for 5 minutes. Prepare an ice bath in a bowl with ice and water. When the timer goes off, use a slotted spoon to extract the eggs and deposit into the ice bath. Let cool for at least five minutes for easy peeling.
- Serve the finished beef over rice and add a soft-boiled egg over top.
- Enjoy!
